The Story of Hoaxes

Of late, there have been a boatload of hoaxes floating around the Internet. Adding to the chaos primarily is WhatsApp, quickly followed by Facebook and the various other social networks. Instagram used to be the haven for original content, which has now been contaminated by these pictures and videos as well. The Conspiracy Mill churns out these hoaxes on a daily basis and we consume them “HOT!” From political scandals, “forced conversions”, blood and urine in ketchup to ISRO building rockets to bring fuel from the Moon, Einstein gets proven right every day.

Food on Fire

Howdy! It’s a Saturday evening, and I just got done with “ricing” my i3 on Ubuntu. I’m still clueless about some things, but that’s the fun part of Linux. Now, that shouldn’t be the only thing you do on weekends, right? So I thought of writing a little note to my crush. Then I decided against it. I’m getting a little too old for that. So I went ahead and started chatting with my family (chatting up the family is how humans apparently used to live).

The curious case of vision loss

Thanks to WhatsApp and our family groups, I came across a video by Zee News that claimed that you could lose your vision because of smartphones. I was amazed. No, not by the piece of ‘news’, but by the level to which people can stoop to get hits. I couldn’t help but laugh.
